I've used this set of knives for the last 8 years. When I am at my parents' house, they have a full set of the Henckels Twin Signature series knives. The Messermeisters are superior in heft and balance as well as in maintaining a cutting edge. Also, the paring knife in the Messermeister set is a much better size for peeling fruit. I like this set so much that I've bought 3 other sets as gifts for relatives.
